Idea #1

A Chrome Extension That Solves the Problem of Lost Digital Memories by Organizing Your Browsing History

I've lost countless hours of my live because I couldn't "go back" to something I wrote or heard in the past. For example:

"where is that file where I implemented FFT with λ-encodings...?"

or even

"what was that product that was like a super dental floss?"

I have 1000's of partial experiments scattered all around several directories. Not every experiment or thought is worth making a repository or post for. So, going back to that exact thing that's on my mind is, sometimes, really hard.

I've now learned there was a product called "Rewind" that attempts to solve that exact problem. But, being a closed source startup, nobody knows for how long it'll stay afloat, and this is a long-term project.

So, I think I might spend a day or two building that thing in Rust. Take a screenshot of your computer every minute or so, heavily compress, OCR it, build a vector db or something, and then let you semantically search for anything from your past... basically the ultimate human memory augmenter.

It runs in the background, grabs your Chrome history, bookmarks, and X bookmarks on a schedule, and feeds the good stuff into a local AI that tags it by meaning (not just URLs or keywords).

Then it pipes everything into Obsidian, so later, when you think “what was that dental floss brand?” or “where was that AI tools list?”, boom, you can find it instantly.

Works offline, stores data locally, and respects your privacy. No cloud snooping. No forgotten rabbit holes.

Idea #2

A Chrome extension that turns predicting which tweets will go viral into a game

they should make a browser extension game for twitter where you "Invest" points in tweets before they blow up and you profit if they do, but if they don't atleast 10x the amount of likes it has when you invest you lose points

You see a tweet and “bet” virtual points on whether it’ll 10x its current likes. If it blows up, you win points. If it flops, you lose ’em.

Simple. Fast. Addictive.

Over time, you get better at spotting what hits and what misses, no more guessing what’ll take off.

Could also throw in leaderboards, trend dashboards, and tips on what actually drives virality (timing, tone, emotion).

Keeps it fun with virtual points, no real money, no gambling headaches.
