[CEI] Chrome Extension Ideas #210
ideas for Laravel developers, Racial Abuse Victims, Compliance, and YouTube
Last week’s premium ideas tackled two juicy “why doesn’t this exist already?” blind spots:
One for marketers drowning in Meta’s clunky ads manager
and one for crypto traders flying half-blind with misleading ROE stats.
Both ideas plug directly into dashboards people stare at daily, which means high intent, high usage, and fast feedback if you build.

Idea #1
A Chrome extension that trims Laravel’s new wall-of-text error traces
For most of my projects, I use Laravel, and the new version introduced a new error page where the error can be copied as markdown.
So I copied the error message and pasted it into warpdotdev, and the difference is noticeable.
it works much better now.Laravel 12.25.0 introduced a shiny new error page with a “Copy as Markdown” button.
Sounds handy… until you paste it and get a novel of stack trace noise that buries the one or two lines you actually care about.
This extension would automatically filter those traces, collapsing the noise and surfacing only the relevant file paths and line numbers, providing a quick summary.
Want the full dump? Toggle it back with one click. But by default, you’d get the clean, actionable version.
Runs right in the browser: detects Laravel’s error page format, strips out redundant calls, and formats it for clarity. Fully customizable filters, so you decide what stays and what goes.

Idea #2
A Chrome extension that automatically documents online racial abuse for accountability
I’ve decided to start compiling examples of the extreme racism I receive online so that I can log them with @eSafetyOffice and @islamophobiareg, but the sheer volume and regularity has meant I’ve had to create a Chrome extension to help document the abuse.Instead of forcing victims to manually screenshot and log every slur, this tool would quietly capture abusive content as it happens, comments, messages, timestamps, platform details, and compile them into a structured report.
Think of it as a black box for online abuse: every incident logged, time-stamped, organized, and ready to send to regulators like Australia’s eSafety Office or watchdogs like the Islamophobia Register.
It could run a lightweight hate-speech detector (flagging obvious slurs in real time), let you review logs in a clean dashboard, and export everything in batch so you’re not overwhelmed by volume. Cloud backup optional. Local privacy by default.
